Information We Collect:

• Account information, such as your name, email address, and phone number, is collected when you create an account with us.
• We may also collect usage data, such as your browsing history, preferences and settings, to improve the performance and functionality of our service.
• Purchase Information: If you make purchases through the iOS or Android App Stores, we collect transactional data. This is used to manage billing and account services.
• Audio and Text Data: When you record audio or add audio/video to summarize within the app, these recordings are uploaded to our server for transcription processing, and will be deleted immediately after completion. We don't store your audios or videos on our server. For max privacy and security, your audio and videos are only store locally on your device. Please note for recorded audio, it will be also deleted on your local devices for X days based on your choice. 
• Transcriptions and Summaries: The text generated from transcriptions and summaries is stored on our servers to provide you with easy access across your devices. You can delete them any time based on your needs. 

Use of Information:

• We gather data on how you interact with our app, including features used and time spent. We use the information we collect to provide, maintain, and improve our service, as well as to improve and personalize your experience, and communicate with you.

Our Promise to You: Your Data, Your Control

We believe your data belongs to you. When you delete your recordings, transcriptions, or summaries, they are permanently removed from our servers. Our goal is to give you the most convenient service while keeping your privacy intact.

Information Sharing:

We utilizes cutting-edge tools to deliver transcription and summarization services. We employ industry-standard data protection mechanisms, including encryption, to safeguard your data.

• We will share the related text to read to third party APIs, OpenAI, Google, AWS etc to transcribe and generate AI-powered meeting notes, create or improve the messages based on your requests. However our applications are not sharing any user data for AI models training. In addition, we do not share personal identifying information.

• AssemblyAI: Your audio is transcribed using AssemblyAI's services. We send your audio data for transcription, which is processed temporarily and not stored beyond this purpose. Learn more here.
• We may share your information with third-party service providers, such as our cloud hosting provider or content creation service, for the purposes of providing, maintaining and improving our service.
• We will not share, sell or disclose your information and personal data to any other third party, unless we are required to do so by law or in response to a valid request from a law enforcement or government agency, or as otherwise necessary to protect our rights or interests.

User Consent For Our AI Apps

For Smart Summary & AI Note Taking and ZQ Labs Inc. (UpMessage AI), we share your input text with OpenAI, Claude (with openrouter), Google to obtain the messages responses. However our applications are not sharing any user data for AI models training. By using our apps, you consent to our privacy policy, which includes sharing the aforementioned data with OpenAI and Microsoft.

Security:

We value your trust in using our service, thus we are striving to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. We use appropriate security measures to protect against unauthorized access to or unauthorized alteration, disclosure or destruction of data.

In addition, data is encrypted both in transit. We also do regular security audits and monitoring protect against unauthorized access.

We reserve the right to change this Policy at any time. We may update this privacy policy from time to time, and we will post the updated policy on our website. Your continued use of the service after we post any such changes to the policy will indicate your acceptance of such changes.
